Christopher Gough-Goodman
Managing DirectorChristopher Gough-Goodman came to Cambridge to take up a nine year career in Electronic Engineering and Management with the Pye Group of companies. Following a two year sabbatical researching investment markets Christopher commenced his Investment and Financial Advisory business in 1971 to advise specifically on investment market opportunities. Christopher’s investment career has always been technically based and in 1979 he formed fee based Cambridge Investments to offer Discretionary Management services. Christopher has been a member of the Society of Technical Analysts for over 20 years.
Christopher was elected to Cambridge City Council for nearly 20 years. Amongst his appointments he was Chairman of the City Finance committee and Leader of the Council. He served 8 years as Chairman of a local Sixth form College and six years as Governor of St Johns College School where he chaired the School Fund raising committee for new developments.
Christopher has also served on the Emmaus Charity under the Chairmanship of Terry Waite. He is currently Chairman of CAMPOD (The Cambridge Fund for Prevention of Diseases), which is associated with the Cambridge University Pathology Department.
Maria De Lima
Investment DirectorMaria gained her financial and investment experience working for two major Unit Linked Investment Institutions for 11 years from 1981. She joined Cambridge Investments Limited as a Director in 1992 specialising in Pensions advice and Discretionary Investment Management.
Maria has gained the Diploma in Financial Planning, Investment Management Certificate, G60 and various other Chartered Insurance examinations, spanning a successful career of over 25 years. She currently specialises in fund research and asset management.
James Bruce
Investment Manager
James has been involved in advising on investments since graduating in 1992, with a degree in financial services. From 2000 he has held senior positions within two discretionary investment management companies, before joining Cambridge Investments Limited in 2009.
James provides further strength to the company’s existing fund research and asset management capability.
James has a passion for helping investors achieve more from their investments, by ensuring their portfolios are structured correctly and actively managed to generate attractive returns, in a tax-efficient manner. As well as being suitably qualified in investment management, James is also qualified to a high level in personal financial planning matters. He became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2006. Outside work, James’ young family keeps him busy, however he does enjoy escaping for a few hours sailing at the weekends, when time (and weather) permits.
